The 2011 JKR Malaysia Senior Officers’ Meeting was held at the historical city of Melaka from 30 - 31 May 2011. The meeting was officiated by the Minister of Works, Dato' Shaziman bin Abu Mansor and chaired by the new Director General of JKR Malaysia, Dato’ Ir. Haji. Mohd Noor Yaacob. In conjunction with the meeting and exhibition, several companies were invited to participate in this government national level meeting to set up exhibition booth at the hotel lobby of Holiday Inn Melaka, to showcase various products and services related to the engineering and construction industry. |

In his opening speech, during the PIARC conference at Royal Chulan, Kuala Lumpur; the Hon. Minister of Works, YB Dato’ Shaziman Hj Abu Mansor stated that the Malaysian government is aware of the current road users’ concerns on the operational efficiency of the road transport system and networks, in which the Ministry views four areas of importance mainly being safer roads, congestion-free roads, well-maintained roads, and sustainable roads. |

HCM Engineering’s core competence has always been in the road construction, rehabilitation and maintenance segment of the road engineering services industry. However it can be proud of another notable achievement with the award of the Build and Upgrade of the Institut Perguruan Persekutuan Pulau Pinang (IPPPP) project at Gelugor by the Ministry of Education with a contract value of RM36,100,000.00
The scope of works for this project includes the building of the staff quarters block, an academic block, and two bungalow houses for the institute’s Director and Assistant Director. More specifically, building works include Piling Work, Substructure Work, Superstructure Work, Roof Truss & Covering, Internal Finishing, External Finishing, M&E Works, Testing and Commission, External Works and Cleaning. |
