What is CIPR ?
Cold In Place Recycling (CIPR) is an advanced and environmentally friendly technique in treating distressed road pavements. CIPR provides a more cost-effective alternative to pavement rehabilitation for both partial of total construction options.
The Application
Upgrading of Unsurfaced Roads
Provides unsurfaced roads with a durable black topped surface, eliminating dust and mud problems. Studies carried out in many countries show that economic benefits can be expected in the longer term, due to substantial reduction in maintenance costs.
Recycling Thin Asphalt Pavement Layers
Pavements where the distress is caused by aging asphalt layers of pavements can be effectively rectified by recycling a relatively thin layer. Cracking and surface degradation that occurs without severe rutting are indicators of such distress.
Structural Strengthening by Deep Recycling
Recycles tough pavements consisting of thick layers of hot-mixed asphalt. The process recycles and strengthens the material in the pavement of the existing road in a single operation. Superficial asphalt aging problems are able to be rectified and weaknesses that occur deeper in the pavement are able to be addressed.

The Operations
The recycling machine scarifies the existing pavement layers (to a maximum depth of 500mm) then adds either cement or bituminous materials or both as stabilizing additives before relaying it back on the same pavement area in a single process.

The Advantages
CIPR offers exceptional performance for road rehabilitation. CIPR represents the future of pavement technology, and with its proven track record, will replace conventional pavement rehabilitation methods.
